Your privacy in FLIPD

Plain words, no surprises. FLIPD collects as little as it can.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

The short version. You don't make an account and we never ask for your name, email or contacts. The game sends anonymous play statistics and crash reports so we can fix and improve it, shows ads only when you choose to watch one, and keeps daily scores under a random name like "Pip-4821". Your progress stays on your phone.

Who we are

FLIPD ("the game", "we", "us") is a puzzle game for Android and iOS. If you have any question about this policy or your data, write to aaquib@aaquibjawed.com.

What the game collects, and why

WhatWhyWho handles it
Play statistics: which levels you start, finish or fail (and why, for example "fell"), stars, tries, ink used, hints, shares, and general device info (model, system version, language, rough country). To see which levels are too hard or too easy and to fix the first minutes of the game. Google Firebase Analytics
Crash reports: what went wrong, the device model and system version, and the level being played. To find and fix crashes. Google Firebase Crashlytics
Advertising data: your device's advertising ID (on iPhone only if you allow tracking), and basic device and network info, when you choose to watch an ad. To show the ad you asked for (a hint or double coins), to count it, and to prevent ad fraud. Google AdMob
Online scores: a random ID made on your phone, a random name like "Pip-4821", your Daily Mirror result (stars, tries, flow), and your fastest "ghost" drawing of a level (the pen's path and time). For the daily leaderboard and for other players to race your ghost. Supabase (our database)

The game does not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or anything you type.

Stored only on your phone

  • Your progress: levels, stars, coins, costumes, settings and the "Brain Profile" charts.
  • Video clips of your runs. A clip only leaves your phone if you tap Share and pick where it goes.

Deleting the app deletes all of this.

Ads and your choices

FLIPD only shows ads you choose to watch. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent (through Google's consent message) before ads can use personal data. If you say no, or if consent can't be checked, you only get non-personalised ads. On iPhone, Apple asks whether FLIPD may track you; if you say no, the advertising ID isn't shared. You can change these choices in your phone's settings.

Who we share data with

Only the services in the table above, which process it for us: Google Firebase, Google AdMob and Supabase. We don't sell your data. Your random player name and scores are visible to other players on the leaderboard.

How long we keep it

  • Play statistics: up to 14 months.
  • Crash reports: about 90 days.
  • Online scores and ghosts: until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the data linked to you. Email aaquib@aaquibjawed.com with your player name (shown on the Daily Mirror screen, like "Pip-4821"). We'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may also have the right to object, to limit how data is used, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

FLIPD is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Online scores can only be written by the phone that created them; other players can only read the leaderboard.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes will also be mentioned in the game.
